V Bar Pulldown
A machine-based exercise targeting the back muscles, primarily lats.
Instructions
- Sit down on the pull-down machine and adjust the knee pad to secure your legs.
- Reach up and grasp the V-bar handles with a neutral grip (palms facing each other).
- Begin the movement by pulling the bar down until it nearly touches the top of your chest.
- Contract your back muscles at the bottom of the movement.
- Slowly release the bar back to the starting position with control.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Leaning back excessively while pulling the bar down.
- Using momentum to pull the bar, rather than engaging the back muscles.
- Not fully extending the arms in the upward phase.
- Pulling the bar down to the abdomen rather than the chest.
- Not maintaining a neutral grip throughout the exercise.
