Upright Cable Row
A shoulder exercise that also engages the traps and upper back, using a cable machine.
Instructions
- Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Attach a straight bar to a low pulley cable and grasp it with an overhand grip, arms fully extended.
- Lift the bar by raising your elbows out to the side until it's near chin level.
- Pause at the top, then slowly lower the bar back to the start position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Lifting too much weight, causing form breakdown.
- Not keeping elbows higher than wrists.
- Using momentum by swinging the body.
