Trap Bar Deadlift
The trap bar deadlift is a weightlifting exercise that targets the legs and lower back using a hexagonal barbell.
Instructions
- Load the trap bar with the desired amount of weight.
- Stand inside the trap bar with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Bend at the hips and knees to grip the handles of the trap bar.
- Keep your back straight and chest up as you lift the bar by extending your hips and knees.
- Stand tall at the top of the movement, then lower the bar back to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Rounding the back during the lift.
- Starting with the hips too low or too high.
- Not keeping the chest up.
