Tate Press
A tricep movement which involves lowering dumbbells to the chest with elbows pointed out, then pressing back up until arms are extended.
Instructions
- Lie on a flat bench with a dumbbell in each hand, palms facing each other.
- Hold the dumbbells with your elbows flexed at about 90 degrees and pointed out to the sides.
- Lower the dumbbells slowly to your chest, keeping your elbows pointed out.
- Press the dumbbells back up by extending your arms, keeping the motion controlled.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Flaring elbows too wide causing shoulder strain.
- Using too much weight resulting in poor form.
- Not controlling the negative motion, leading to potential injury.
