Standing Palms In Dumbbell Press
A shoulder exercise performed while standing, using dumbbells with palms facing inwards.
Instructions
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand with palms facing inward.
- Raise the dumbbells to shoulder height, keeping elbows close to your body.
- Press the dumbbells upward until your arms are fully extended, without locking your elbows.
- Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Leaning back excessively during the press, which can strain the lower back.
- Allowing elbows to flare out instead of keeping them close to the body.
- Using momentum instead of controlled motion, reducing the effectiveness.
