Standing One Arm Dumbbell Curl Over Incline Bench
A 200-characters-or-less explanation of the exercise.
Instructions
- Stand up straight facing an incline bench while holding a dumbbell in one hand with an underhand grip.
- Place the back of your upper arm (tricep) on the top of the incline bench with your arm extended down.
- Curl the dumbbell upwards by contracting your biceps, keeping your elbow stationary, until you reach shoulder level.
- Hold the contracted position for a second, then slowly lower the dumbbell back to the starting position.
- Repeat the process for the recommended amount of repetitions and switch arms.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using the shoulder to lift the weight instead of the biceps.
- Not fully extending the arm at the bottom of the movement.
- Using too much weight causing improper form.
- Swinging the body to help lift the weight.
