Standing Gastrocnemius Calf Stretch
A stretch exercise for the gastrocnemius muscle in the calf.
Instructions
- Stand facing a wall with one leg in front of the other.
- Bend your front knee and press your back heel into the ground.
- Lean your upper body forward slightly and keep your back leg straight.
- Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds and switch legs.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Allowing the back heel to lift off the ground.
- Bending the back knee.
- Not maintaining a straight line from heel to head.
