Standing Dumbbell Triceps Extension
Instructions
- Stand upright and hold a dumbbell with both hands, positioning it over your head with arms fully extended.
- Keep your elbows close to your head as you lower the dumbbell behind your head until your forearms touch your biceps.
- Pause briefly at the bottom of the movement and then lift the dumbbell back to the starting position by extending your arms.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Flaring elbows out to the sides instead of keeping them close to the head.
- Leaning forward or backward, compromising balance and support.
- Using excessive weight leading to swinging motion instead of controlled movement.
- Not fully extending arms overhead, reducing triceps engagement.
