Smith Incline Shoulder Raise
A targeted exercise using a Smith machine for shoulder development.
Instructions
- Position an incline bench under the smith machine and set it to a 45-degree angle.
- Lie back on the bench with your feet flat on the floor and grasp the bar with a shoulder-width grip.
- Unrack the bar and start with it directly above your shoulders.
- In a controlled manner, lower the bar to just above your chest.
- Press the bar back to the starting position by extending your arms fully.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using too much weight, which can strain the neck and shoulders.
- Not keeping the back flat against the bench, reducing the focus on shoulders.
- Allowing the elbows to flare out.
