Single Leg Lateral Hop
A dynamic exercise that strengthens the lower body and improves balance and agility by hopping laterally on a single leg.
Instructions
- Stand on your right leg with your knee slightly bent.
- Push off your right foot and hop as far as you can to the left.
- Land softly on your left leg with your knee slightly bent to absorb the impact.
- Immediately push off your left foot and hop back to the right.
- Continue hopping side to side for the desired number of repetitions.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not bending the knee upon landing, which can increase the risk of injury.
- Hopping too quickly without control, which can lead to loss of balance.
- Not maintaining a forward-facing torso, reducing the effectiveness of the exercise.
