Reverse Band Bench Press
A bench press variation using resistance bands to assist with the lift.
Instructions
- Set up the bench press as usual.
- Attach bands to the top of the rack and then to the barbell.
- Unrack the barbell and perform a bench press, feeling the resistance from the bands assist during the press.
- Control the bar as you lower it back down.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not securing the bands properly, leading to uneven tension or bands snapping.
- Using too much weight, leading to poor form and increased risk of injury.
- Not controlling the bar on the descent, leading to a lack of stability in the press.
