Mountain Climbers
A cardiovascular exercise that involves bringing the knees to your chest in a plank position.
Instructions
- Start in a high plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders and your body in a straight line from head to heels.
- Engage your core and bring your right knee towards your chest.
- Quickly switch and bring the left knee towards your chest while returning your right leg to the starting position.
- Continue to alternate knees and move at a pace that challenges your cardiovascular system.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not keeping your hips level with your shoulders and allowing them to raise up.
- Failing to engage the core, resulting in a sagging lower back.
- Inadequate speed or tempo, resulting in reduced cardio benefit.
