Lying Rear Delt Raise
An exercise targeting the rear deltoids, performed while lying face down on a bench.
Instructions
- Start by lying face down on a flat bench with a dumbbell in each hand, arms extended towards the floor.
- Maintain a slight bend in your elbows and ensure your arms are perpendicular to your body.
- Raise the weights out to the side until your elbows are at shoulder height.
- Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top of the movement.
- Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using too much weight which can lead to improper form.
- Not squeezing the shoulder blades together at the top.
- Lifting the dumbbells too high, causing unnecessary strain on other muscles.
- Allowing momentum to control the movement instead of the muscle.
