Lying Machine Squat
A machine-based squat exercise targeting the quadriceps.
Instructions
- Position yourself on the lying squat machine, aligning your shoulders with the pads.
- Place your feet shoulder-width apart on the platform.
- Release the safety handles, if applicable.
- Lower the weight by bending your knees until your thighs are parallel to the foot platform.
- Push through your heels to return to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not aligning shoulders with the pads correctly.
- Letting knees drift inward while lowering the weight.
- Not using a full range of motion (thighs parallel to platform).
- Not keeping feet flat on the platform throughout the movement.
- Locking the knees at the top of the movement.
