Lying Leg Curls
Lying leg curls target the hamstrings and are performed while lying on a machine.
Instructions
- Adjust the machine to fit your height.
- Lie face down on the leg curl machine with the pad of the machine on the back of your legs (just a few inches under the calves).
- Keep your torso flat on the bench and ensure your legs are fully stretched.
- Grasp the side handles of the machine as you start to curl your legs up.
- Hold the contracted position for a second as you squeeze your hamstrings.
- Slowly bring the legs back to the initial position.
- Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Lifting the hips off the bench.
- Bouncing the weights instead of using controlled movement.
- Using too much weight.
- Incorrect foot positioning.
