Lying High Bench Barbell Curl
A bicep curl variation performed on a high bench, targeting the biceps with a focus on form and isolation.
Instructions
- Lie face down on a high bench with your chest supported.
- Hold a barbell with an underhand grip, arms extended towards the floor.
- Curl the barbell up by bending your elbows while keeping your upper arms stationary.
- Squeeze the biceps at the top of the movement and then slowly lower back to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Swinging the body to lift the weight.
- Using momentum instead of strict form.
- Not fully extending the arms at the bottom of the movement.
- Allowing the elbows to drift, reducing isolation on the biceps.
