Linear Depth Jump
A plyometric exercise to increase lower body power and explosiveness.
Instructions
- Stand on a box or platform with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Step off the box, landing softly on the balls of your feet.
- Upon landing, immediately jump vertically as high as possible.
- Land softly and reset for the next repetition.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Landing flat-footed instead of on the balls of the feet.
- Not jumping immediately upon landing, losing the plyometric effect.
- Allowing knees to cave inward during landing and jumping.
