Full Range Of Motion Lat Pulldown
A lat exercise using a cable machine to target the upper back by pulling a bar down from above, emphasizing full range of motion.
Instructions
- Adjust the thigh pad to fit snugly against the thighs.
- Grasp the bar with an overhand grip wider than shoulder-width.
- Pull the bar down towards the upper chest, keeping the torso upright and elbows pointed down.
- Squeeze the shoulder blades together at the bottom of the movement.
- Slowly return the bar to the starting position, fully extending the arms.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Leaning back excessively, turning it into a row.
- Using momentum or swinging the body.
- Not using full range of motion.
- Allowing the elbows to flare excessively.
- Neglecting to squeeze shoulder blades fully.
