Frankenstein Squat
A squat variation where the barbell is balanced on the front of the shoulders without holding it.
Instructions
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and place the barbell on the front of your shoulders.
- Extend your arms straight forward to balance the barbell with your shoulders.
- Keep your back straight and eyes forward.
- Squat down by bending your knees and pushing your hips back as if sitting onto an invisible chair.
- Lower until your thighs are parallel to the ground.
- Push through your heels to return to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not keeping the back straight leading to excessive leaning forward.
- Allowing knees to collapse inward during the movement.
- Not lowering thighs parallel to the ground.
- Losing balance due to incorrect posture of arms.
