Forward Drag With Press
A unique exercise that combines a dragging motion with a pressing action, engaging multiple muscle groups.
Instructions
- Begin in a standing position with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Hold a resistance band or cable handle in each hand, arms at your sides.
- Step forward with one foot and drag the trailing foot forward simultaneously.
- As you step, push the handles forward into a press, extending your arms out in front of you.
- Return to the starting position and repeat with the alternate foot.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Failing to maintain balance while stepping forward, leading to improper form.
- Not engaging core muscles during the press.
- Allowing the knees to cave inward during the dragging motion.
- Using momentum rather than muscle control to press forward.
