Dumbbell Scaption
A shoulder exercise focusing on the deltoids, performed with dumbbells in a standing position with arms raised to shoulder height.
Instructions
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand.
- Keep your arms straight and lift them in a scaption plane, which is about 30 degrees forward from the frontal plane, to shoulder height.
- Pause briefly at the top, ensuring your wrists are in line with your shoulders.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Raising the arms too high above shoulder level.
- Using excessive weight causing improper form.
- Swinging the dumbbells using momentum rather than controlled motion.
