Decline Dumbbell Flyes
A chest exercise performed on a decline bench to target the lower pectoral muscles using dumbbells.
Instructions
- Lie on a decline bench with your feet secured or flat on the floor.
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand directly above your chest with palms facing each other.
- Slowly lower the weights out to the side, maintaining a slight bend in your elbows to protect the shoulder joint.
- Lower until your chest feels a stretch, then return to the starting position by engaging your chest muscles.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Allowing the elbows to bend too much, turning the exercise into a press.
- Bringing the dumbbells too low, placing strain on the shoulders.
- Using too much weight, compromising form for heavier weights.
