Chair Squat
A modified squat using a chair for support to help with balance and stability.
Instructions
- Stand in front of a chair with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Ensure the chair is positioned securely and will not slide or tip over.
- Engage your core and keep your chest lifted.
- Lower your hips back and down as if you are going to sit on the chair, but stop just above the seat.
- Push through your heels and return to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using momentum rather than muscle control to stand up.
- Letting knees collapse inward.
- Allowing your chest to drop forward.
