Carioca Quick Step
A lateral movement exercise designed to improve agility, coordination, and foot speed.
Instructions
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your knees slightly bent.
- Begin by moving laterally to the right, crossing your left foot over your right.
- Uncross by stepping out wide with your right foot.
- Bring your left foot to the starting position quickly and repeat the sequence in the opposite direction.
- Continue this pattern, picking up speed as you maintain control.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Crossing feet too closely together and losing balance.
- Skipping the uncross step, which hinders movement fluidity.
- Standing too upright, reducing agility and speed.
