Cable Rope Overhead Triceps Extension
A tricep-focused exercise performed with a rope attachment on a cable machine.
Instructions
- Attach a rope to the bottom pulley of a cable machine.
- Stand facing away from the machine and grasp the rope with both hands.
- Extend your arms straight overhead.
- Keep your elbows close to your head, and lower the rope behind your head by bending your elbows.
- Pause for a moment, then extend your arms back to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Flaring the elbows outwards instead of keeping them close to the head.
- Using momentum to swing the rope instead of controlled movements.
- Leaning too far forward and using improper form.
- Not extending the arms fully at the top of the movement.
- Excessively arching the back to move the weight.
