Cable One Arm Tricep Extension
Isolate and target the triceps muscles using a cable machine one-arm extension exercise.
Instructions
- Stand facing a cable stack with a handle attached to the high pulley.
- Grab the handle with one hand and hold it above your head, elbow bent.
- Ensure that your upper arm is close to your head, elbow pointing at the ceiling.
- Extend your arm by straightening your elbow until your entire arm is fully extended. Do not lock your elbow.
- Hold for a second, then slowly return to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using momentum to swing the weight, rather than controlling the movement.
- Not fully extending the arm, resulting in partial triceps activation.
- Allowing the elbow to move away from the head, reducing tension on the triceps.
- Leaning back and engaging other muscle groups instead of isolating the triceps.
