Bosu Ball Cable Crunch With Side Bends
A variation of the cable crunch that engages the obliques by incorporating side bends while using a Bosu ball.
Instructions
- Position a Bosu ball near a cable machine.
- Attach a rope handle to the cable and adjust it to the appropriate height.
- Sit on the Bosu ball with feet flat on the floor, facing away from the machine.
- Grasp the rope handles with both hands, bringing them over your shoulders.
- Engage your core and perform a crunch by bringing your torso down towards your knees.
- Incorporate a side bend by twisting your torso to either side during the crunch.
- Return to the starting position slowly, untwisting as you do.
- Repeat the movement on the opposite side.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not maintaining balance on the Bosu ball, which can lead to improper form.
- Using momentum instead of core strength to perform the crunch and bends.
- Incorrect cable height adjustment, resulting in awkward pulling angles.
- Neglecting to twist the torso adequately, reducing the effectiveness on obliques.
