Barbell Shoulder Press
A compound exercise used to increase shoulder strength and muscle mass.
Instructions
- Stand upright and hold the barbell at shoulder height with a grip slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- Press the barbell overhead by extending through the elbows, keeping the bar path in line with the middle of your foot.
- Lower the barbell back to the starting position with control.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using too much weight and compromising form.
- Not using a full range of motion.
- Leaning back excessively and straining the lower back.
