Barbell Ab Rollout
A challenging core exercise using the barbell to target the abdominals.
Instructions
- Begin on your knees with a barbell in front of you, hands shoulder-width apart gripping the barbell.
- Position the barbell against your knees and keep your core tight.
- Slowly roll the barbell forward by extending your arms and rolling it away from your knees.
- Continue to roll as far as you can go without arching your lower back.
- Pause for a moment, then pull the barbell back towards your knees to return to the starting position.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Letting the lower back sag or arch excessively.
- Not engaging the core throughout the movement.
- Rolling out too quickly without control.
- Not using a full range of motion.
