All Fours Quad Stretch
A stretch exercise targeted at the quadriceps, performed from an all-fours position.
Instructions
- Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position.
- Bring your right knee forward close to your right hand keeping the knee at a 90-degree angle.
- Gently lower your body back towards the foot or heel of the stretched leg.
- Hold the position and feel the stretch in the quadriceps.
- Switch legs and repeat.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not keeping the knee bent at a 90-degree angle, which may reduce the stretch effectiveness.
- Arching the back instead of keeping a neutral spine.
- Forcing the stretch beyond comfort, risking injury.
